Personal Works, 2018 - 2019
I first started doing portraits as a study exercise. Then, as acquaintances, friends, and indeed others began to show excitement over the new dimension and interpretation that illustration could bring to their most cherished and familiar photographs, my form of practice quickly evolved into the main focus of my work.
I enjoy drawing those who inspire and motivate me: teachers, friends, famous or not-so-famous artists, and perhaps among my favourite projects: human rights defenders from around the world. I am currently working on an entire series dedicated to these amazing people .
My portrait work is developed on commission. Each portrait is a hand-drawn original. I apply close attention to detail in order to bring out the best in every subject. If you are interested in transforming your favourite family photo into a unique and personalized piece, check out my Instagram, visit my store, and e-mail me to discuss the piece you have in mind.
All works are made in black or white pencils on coloured paper, paper size and colours upon request.
